CALEDONIA TRAILS VIDEO / EMPIRE COMMUNITIES

During this full day of filming a day at Empire Avalon in Caledonia, Ontario I was responsible for helping the videographer, whether that was picking out key shots that could be ideal for the video editing process, that I’d be conducting, to ensuring we highlighted the local trails in a way that would translate well for social distribution. The aim of the video was to show potential Empire homeowners the surrounding community at Empire Avalon, and the various activities you could enjoy if you chose to live there.
Once the footage was sent over I began the video editing inside Premiere Pro and After Effects, with the end product to be hosted on our social channels and blog. As part of the edit I made sure to follow the brand guidelines, such as the pre-directed colour treatment the Brand Manager set out. One component I wanted to bring into the video was the use of motion graphics, whether that was animated icons or trail intros. Just to give the video something a bit extra. I also liked the idea of showcasing the ‘drawn route’ along with the trail info and I thought it would work as a nice visual for the viewer. The finished video was then hosted on our blog to help promote Empire Avalon.
